Jazzy received a BRIT nomination this week
Jazzy is a rising and things are only getting bigger and better for the musician. Just this week, the ‘Make Me Feel Good’ singer was nominated for a BRIT award.
She’s set to become one of Ireland’s biggest stars and we cannot wait to see what happens next in her career.
But where did her love of music come from?
The BRIT award nominee revealed that her school played a major role in her path to stardom.
She attended St Agnes’ Primary School on Armagh Road in Crumlin where she was given free violin lessons. The school had an initiative called ‘The Music Project’ which was set up in 2006 by Sister Bernadette Sweeney and Dr. Joanna Crooks.
The project aimed to give students access to classic music. It also helped Jazzy realise that it was a major passion of hers.
Jazzy said having the support of the Irish people has made her rise to fame even sweeter.
She told Her.ie: “It feels surreal and also amazing because obviously, that’s what the Irish people do. They get behind their own so I’m glad to have them behind me.
“Look after yourself, you’re number one. Always good, happy vibes, I don’t want to bring anyone down,” Jazzy added.
Jazzy has been nominated for a BRIT award for International Song of the Year.
She told her supporters that it’s a moment she’ll never forget.
Writing on Instagram, Jazzy said the reality of the situation still hasn’t sunk in.
“It’s hard to believe I’m writing this.. Giving Me has been nominated for International Song of the Year at the BRITs.
Jazzy said she couldn’t even put her feelings into words.
Following the career milestone, Jazzy reflected on her career so far and said it has been a journey full of love and pride.
“From reaching number one on the Irish charts to hitting 100 million streams worldwide and witnessing the incredible love and support from all of you makes me so proud.”
Jazzy praised Belters Only for supporting her and working with her early on in her career. Belters Only confirmed the trio wrote the song ‘Giving Me’ in a garden in Dublin and now they’re heading to one of the biggest music awards in the world.
