‘I sobbed for hours’ – Jessie J confirms she is cancer-free

The Domino singer confirmed the news in a video on Instagram this morning.

Alongside the video, the singer wrote: "RESULTS ARE IN, AND I AM CANCER FREE."

She continued, "I sobbed for hours and then exhaled for the first time in a year."

In the video, the singer tells her fans that she's back in the hospital for her yearly check-up.

Before heading into her breast MRI, the singer said she was nervous about the results.

Thankfully, her doctors told her that she is now cancer-free after undergoing a mastectomy.

Last June, the singer announced that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.

"I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word 'early'," she wrote.

The Price Tag singer was diagnosed with a heart condition when she was only eight years old. She also suffered a minor stroke at 18.

Speaking about her health battles, she told Women's Health UK: "Since I was young, so many things have happened to me. I've always had obscure health issues that [doctors] can't figure out.

"Nothing has broken me. I believe I've gone through all the things I have to help people. Even if it's just to write songs about it," Jessie J added.

The singer has been praised by her followers for sharing so much about her diagnosis and for helping raise so much awareness during such a distressing time in her life.
