Having the most famous rear in in Great Britain isn’t enough to sustain oneself in a journalistic position, it seems.
Pippa Middleton, younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, has been let go from her post as a columnist with The Daily Telegraph after just six months.
Thirty-year-old Pippa penned a lifestyle column for the publication, called “Sports and Social”. In it, she tackled subjects such as the Oxford Boat Race, Christmas decorations and exercise fads.
Staff reportedly said of the column that readers were never “into it”. A source told US Weekly: “There was a lot of negative mail coming in after each column and there were too many off-limit subjects for her. They ran out of ideas.”
It’s not the first time Pippa’s writing career has hit a stumbling block. Her 2012 book on entertaining, titled Celebrate, was widely criticised and mocked for its clichéd tips. Pippa was dropped by publishers Viking Press shortly after the book’s release.
