"It’s like, this is me, and it feels a little scary."

Anna Faris has confessed she’s finding it “a little scary” to release her upcoming memoir after her split from Chris Pratt.

The couple, who were married for eight years, announced their separation in a join social media statement last month.

But now the actress, whose memoir Unqualified comes out next month, has admitted she’s getting a bit nervous about fans having a closer and “really intimate”  look at her life.

She said on her podcast Anna Faris is Unqualified:

“I feel really, really nervous because it feels intimate.

“I’m excited and you know when I first got the book deal, I thought, ‘Oh what a great adventure this is going to be’.

“Now that it’s getting closer, I feel nervous in the sense that I’ve been able to always hide behind characters.

“And now it’s like, this is me, and it feels a little scary.”

The book, available on October 26, is being described as “part memoir, part humorous unflinching advice” about relationships and finding love.

Unqualified, which contains a forward written by Chris Pratt, will reportedly go into details about the couple’s relationship – from falling in love on the Take Me Home Tonight to their 2009 wedding in Bali.

According to excerpts from the book obtained by Entertainment WeeklyPratt praised the “fierce and very loyal” mother of his four year old son Jack.

In the forward, he wrote:

“She is fierce and very loyal, she rarely punishes people. But when she does, it’s powerful and terrifying, and when it’s over, it’s really over.”
“(Power and terror are acceptable in a partner but absolutely necessary in a mother, as far as I’m concerned).
“And she does mother very well, both our son, Jack, and me, when needed.”

The book will also show an entirely different side to the actress.

Her podcast co-host Sim Sarna explained that he was surprised about how vulnerable the Mom actress was.

He said:

“I couldn’t believe how revealing you were, because there was so much that you hadn’t told me personally that I read in the book for the first time.”

Faris explained that the book was simply about her life experiences.

She continued:

“It’s just my experiences. It’s just sort of how I felt as a really quiet kid with headgear, and then suddenly being an actress in L.A. and basically how I haven’t felt comfortable in my own skin.”
