A teddy bear is not just a best friend, it’s a hairstyle
New York Fashion Week has not only forecast some of the next big clothing trends for A/W24, but it has delivered on the hairstyle front too.
While the main focus is on major fashion labels showcasing incoming trends for the following season, eagle-eyed viewers are also inspired by the makeup and hairstyles being sported by the models.
One of the hairdos that featured during the LaPointe show during the annual fashion week was the ‘Teddy Bear Braid’.
The adorable hairstyle involves the hair plaited and then wound on either side of the temples to resemble the ears of a teddy bear.
The ‘Teddy Bear Braids’ seen at NYFW were created by hair stylist, Joey George, and models can be seen wearing them in two variations.
One look saw model, Elaine Palacio, wear her braids as an up-do, with the plaits pulled up and rolled at her temples.
The other variation of the ‘Teddy Bear Braid’ was seen various times on models for the LaPointe show, using multiple plaits for a half-up-half-down look.
This involved two traditional long braids left hanging and two wound braids into little circles on either side of the models’ temples.
The adorable Joey George-created hairstyle is bound to be festival favourite as we enter summer.
