Tributes continue to pour in for Irish broadcaster Gay Byrne, following his death on Monday 4 November, aged 85.
On Friday 8 November, RTÉ will air live coverage of his funeral, which is set to air on television and online.
Bryan Dobson will present the special programme, on RTÉ One and RTÉ News Now, which will begin at 11.30am, ahead of the funeral at 12 noon.
The programme will feature coverage of the funeral mass at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral Church on Marlborough Street in Dublin, with John Bowman and Mary Kennedy to provide commentary of the ceremony.
Audiences around the world can watch the coverage, as it will be streamed live on the RTÉ Player and on RTÉ.ie.
Meanwhile, the second-part of a two-part documentary on the life of Gay Byrne and how his work changed Irish society airs tonight (Tuesday 5 November) at 11.05pm, following a Late Late Show Special, dedicated to the years he hosted the show, which will begin at 9.35pm.
