A full house, some might say.
A “large scale” cannabis factory has been discovered inside a former Bingo Hall in the UK.
Northamptonshire Police uncovered the factory earlier this week in the disused Gala Bingo Hall in Kettering, Northamptonshire. They discovered “thousands” of plants inside of the building, which have since been destroyed.
Police Sergeant Sean Marshall called the factory “criminally audacious” and urged the public to be aware of an similar setups operating in their area.

“The whole of the Gala Bingo hall and main building is just full of thousands of plants,” he said.
“Early indications are that there are at least a couple of thousand and that would translate into a yield of about three quarters of a million pounds.
“Each plant is good for about three or four yields as well, so that’s a lot of profit and a lot of money.”
Marshall added that it was unlikely that whoever set up the factory would have gotten away with it for much longer.

“The size of the building and just the amount of work,” he said, “the organised effort and work that’s gone into setting it up.
“You can try it and yeah, you might think you can get away with it, but we will eventually catch up with you and we will do what have done today.”
Police destroyed all of the cannabis plants and equipment inside of the Bingo Hall.
A forensic team is gathering evidence from the site.
