Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for the west of the country.
The warning is in place for all parts of Connaught, as well as Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick and will run through tonight until 6am tomorrow morning (Sunday)
West to southwest winds are expected to reach speeds of 50 to 64 km/hr, with gusts of 90 to 109 km/hr this evening and tonight.
