In a statement, Disney World said "theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, Disney’s miniature golf course and ESPN Wild World Sports Complex will be closed by 5pm today and will remain closed through Friday, October 7th."
Universal Studios and Sea World Orlando will also remain closed until safety officials give the green light to reopen. Guests currently staying at Disney resorts have been warned to remain indoors.

The storm battered the Bahamas, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, devastating homes, crops and communities. Landfall is expected in Florida this morning.
