Ah, god.
First things first – if you haven’t seen the Marks & Spencer’s Christmas ad this year, give it a watch because it’s pretty adorable.
Like all Christmas ads, it aims to get you right in the feels.
It tells the story of Paddington Bear and a burglar, who the bear mistakes for Santa Claus.
Paddington decides he wants to help the burglar deliver all the presents in his bag, not understanding that the man had intended to steal them.

But thankfully, by the end of the ad, the burglar is reformed.
He goes to give Paddington a hug, saying: “Thank you little bear,” but for some strange reason, it sounds like he’s saying something a bit different.
At least according to people on Twitter.

The idea that the burglar was actually saying “f*ck you little bear” became such a thing that it even ended up being discussed on This Morning.
And while some argued that the burglar was, of course, saying “thank you little bear” (yes, we know, thanks lads), other remained adamant that the burglar was literally telling Paddington to f*ck off.

As long as John Lewis don’t ruin Christmas now, we might be okay.
