People are genuinely horrified by an open-back dress on sale at the moment

Look, we're not going to outright judge what anybody else chooses to wear on a night out. Wear jeans and a nice top. Wear a floral maxi dress even though it's about 3 degrees outside. Wear a legitimate pair of skintight leather pants that you can only remove with the help of much lube and a lot of hassle. Just do whatever, we don't really care. That being said though, there's judging... and then there's just being downright confused. Which is what we are after witnessing the spectacle that is this dress. Look at it there now. Being half fabric, half not fabric at all. If you for some reason can't really figure out what's going on in this dress, let us break it down for you. At the front of the dress, there's just a load of black fabric - as such. And then at the back of the dress, there's an open-back detail covered (lol) by some lace. This lace cut out then travels down the back of the dress and right before it reaches the ass area, it veers off to the side leaving the waist and left thigh totally exposed. Lovely. The dress is currently being sold on a website called DressLily and is described as "... extreme sexy and alluring. This mini bodycon dress featuring skin baring lace-up throughout the body..." And that's it, the sentence just trails off like that. Fab. Anyway, the dress is being sold for $18.14 or €15 and some people over in Mumsnet think they've figured out why it's so cheap. They also gave out about the dress because they're all horrified by it because, why not, it's Mumsnet. “No wonder it’s so cheap,” said one person, “it’s only half a dress." “I’d look like sausage meat stuffed in an orange net in that,” said another. Someone else agreed and said: “I think most folk would look like a pork joint." Fair. Another person also expressed her horror that by wearing such a garment, you wouldn't be able to wear underwear. How absolutely harrowing.
