Important: you can name a cockroach after your ex this Valentine’s Day

Do you have an ex boyfriend or girlfriend that you shudder at the thought of? Well, same. And as Valentine's Day approaches, you've probably had them on your mind, even if you can't stand them. Rather than spending your day crying, burning pictures or eating ice cream - why not think outside the box. Hemsley Conservation Centre is offering you the chance to really give Valentine's Day a meaningful purpose by adopting and naming a cockroach after your ex. We're loving it. The website reads:

"For those that don’t quite require revenge, there’s another way to make you feel better about getting back at your ex this Valentine’s Day."

​"The HCC is offering the chance to name a cockroach in honour of your friend's worthless ex-“someone” on this special holiday of love."

​"We are highlighting these creatures through our ‘name a cockroach programme’ (we think adopt is a little too strong, after all - you probably don't want to adopt your friend's ex) to raise money for our projects at the zoo."

The best bit? It only costs £1.50 to name one, so you can spend the rest of your cash on gin.
