Bank Holiday Fun
While some members of Team Her.ie are hightailing it to all corners of the country this weekend, those of us who are staying close to the capital have heard a strong and trustworthy rumour that something fun is happening this Saturday on Coppinger Row. We’ll be there to check it out, so drop by if you’re near!
Oooh, Saucy!
We headed to Beeftro in Dundrum Town Centre this week to sample a steak and their Relais de Paris sauce. We had heard that the Parisian-style steakhouse introduced the exclusive sauce to their menu to celebrate their first birthday, and when we were invited to try, we could hardly say no. The story goes that the secret sauce was created in 1959. They won’t tell you what’s in there, only that you’re being treated to a delicious combination of 18 spices and five secret ingredients. It was so delicious that we forgot ourselves and had cleaned the plate in approximately five minutes. Oops.

Bottled Beauty
Liz knows that with pale skin, and eczema too, there’s no way she’s adding a sun burn to the mix. As much as she loves to slap on a little tan, the beauty lotion that hides lumps and bumps can really dry out her skin. So when she tried, tested and loved the Tan Organic range, she was instantly converted. It left her with a really even glow, no flaky skin and washes off gradually without the patch effect. She may have run out to buy a few extra bottles in reserve…
Hats off to Scandal
Rebecca‘s week (more like life) was made when this hat, in honour of the third series of Scandal which is showing on Sky Living, came into the office on Thursday. In fact, she’s still wearing it and to be honest, we don’t think she’ll be taking it off any time soon.

This week, Sue was sent in her all-time favourite press pack for Guardians of the Galaxy. Like Star-Lord’s very own mix tape, the press kit was a tape that was actually a USB. This is pretty amazing.
On top of the fact that Guardians was her favourite press kit ever, Sue has not stopped talking about how brilliant the new film starring Chris Pratt is. Like The Avengers, this promises to be one of the Marvel greats and is funny and charming with some great action scenes. This is definitely one to check out this week.

Anyone for a cuppa?
We had a bit of drama in the office this week when our Sue broke the one and only kettle, leaving the team, (Marie in particular), bereft of tea and very caffeine-deprived. Luckily, our kitchen disaster coincided with the launch of Nespresso’s Fortissimo Lungo Grand Cru, an intense blend of espresso that came to the rescue and gave us our much needed afternoon buzz. Crisis averted!
More coffee. No, really.
Cathy is a bit of a coffee addict and needs a cup (or two) before she’s properly awake in the morning. This week she’s obsessed with Fine Coffee Company capsules, Dark Roast Lungo to be exact. Lungo capsules provide longer shots , they’re relatively strong and at only €0.29 a capsule, you can’t go wrong!
Michelle joined the lovely people at Hunter PR for an amazing meal in the penthouse of the Clarence Hotel this week, surrounded by stunning new style from PARFOIS. Gorgeous statement necklaces, bags and sunnies as far as the eye could see. Naturally, we want everything.
Wild about Halle
Rebecca has been smiling and smelling lovely (not that she didn’t smell nice before) since she got Halle Berry’s new scent Wild Essence into the office. For someone who is quite sceptical when it comes to celebrity fragrances, she is pretty happy to have found one she really likes.
MYNY
Michelle has some perfume love going on this week too, namely MYNY from DKNY. Given that it’s named after her favourite place in the world and the bottled is modelled after NY skyscrapers, this was always going to be a winner. While she was checking out the new scent, she was treated to a manicure and is now sporting one of the gorgeous nude shades from the new additions to the Michael Kors beauty line. Tough day at the office, we know.
