We here at Her towers have a soft spot for Ms. Colman. The actress celebrates everything we love – funny, smart, talented, fun and genuine – rolled into one woman.
So we were pretty delighted when she scooped the BAFTA award for best actress last night.
How could we love this charming lady any more? Well her acceptance speech was probably one of the most moving and genuinely lovely things we’ve seen in a long time.
Yes there were waterworks, but thankfully they were more graceful teardrops rather than Gwynnie’s heaving Oscar sobs. She may be choked up, but she has a few little jokes thrown in for good measure too.
And the bit about her husband? Hearts melted.
Take a bow Olivia. You just mastered the perfect acceptance speech.
