A Galway hotel has launched the ultimate ‘notions’ package and we’re very tempted

The Twelve, located in Barna, turns twelve this year and to mark the occasion, they've dreamt up a rather impressive package. Described as a VIP experience (go on, tell us more),  the Wild Atlantic Way Private Day Tour involves a six-hour journey to see some of Ireland's most picturesque locations complete with a chauffeur and picnic hamper. Having a personal taxi for the day has to be the ultimate way to kick back and relax, living the life of luxury for an afternoon. If you have something fancy coming up, a big birthday or anniversary perhaps, your significant other would likely be very impressed with a present such as this one. The package starts from €300 per person based upon two sharing with a two-night stay, a cooked to order breakfast each morning, gourmet dinner on one evening and let's not forget the private six-hour tour, all included. NOTIONS. As a Galway native, I could be accused of bias when I say that it's one of the best counties in Ireland but considering the scenery, craic and welcoming people, many will agree with me. Barna is just a fifteen-minute drive from the city so once you're reached your relaxation quota, you can check out the night-life of Quay Street and the Latin Quarter. Time for a weekend staycation?!
