“The Truth Is Out There” Eleven Things We Have Learned From The X-Files

It's hard to believe now, but the X-Files left our screens twelve years ago and we still feel its loss. Revolving around the characters of FBI agents, Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, every week saw the investigation of a new mystery. It was brilliant TV, you just couldn't match it. Here are eleven things we learned from the X-Files. 1. The Truth is Out There Well, it's sort of out there. We find out some of the truth and then we hope that the truth will eventually be there by the end of the X-Files but did we ever find out the truth? No, because the TRUTH IS OUT THERE! 2. Trust No One Especially not black and white smoking men who seem to know lots and lots of things about your life and pretty much everything else in between. 3. Never go it alone. As soon as Mulder and Scully went their separate ways, things happen. Frightening things happen! 4. Sometimes, there is an explanation... A really obvious explanation that was invariably delivered by the very, very religious Scully. 5. ... Sometimes there isn't. Mulder just LIVED for these moments. There is no explanation! THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE! 6. You can't deny chemistry. Please. They tried to deny it for nearly nine years. It couldn't be denied! 7. You absolutely NEED an FBI badge. You just never know when you will need it! 8. Black oil coming out of your eyes is never a good thing. Ever. There was quite a lot of black oil. It was never good. Never. 9. There's always a file. On you. On everyone. On everything. On every universe. EVERYTHING! 10. Just blame aliens. Or thank the aliens? Basically, it's always the aliens. 11. If it's not the aliens, it's the Government. Branches of Government? Certain people in the government? Doesn't matter, it's someone in the Government.
