Add us as a preferred source on Google »Flying isn't my favourite thing in the world, but I'll happily follow any advice to make the experience less daunting.
We can all agree that there's nothing quite as stressful as being stuck on a long-haul flight with a screaming child behind you or having someone kick the back of your seat from the moment you take off.
But there is something you can do to make the flight that little bit easier.
Travel expert John Burfitt recently told escape.com.au about why you should pick the 'worst' seat on the plane.
This is actually the supposed best seat on the plane but it's definitely not one you would've considered.
After a lot of uncomfortable flying experiences, he vowed never to sit in front of someone again.
Now he always booked a seat at the very back of the plane.
He explained: "In that instant, I decided the back row would be the only place I would sit on a long flight from now on.
"On my next flight, I booked into the back row of the cabin and, even better, my seat was the one right next to the window.
"As I nestled into that corner, I discovered what true airline love is about. I had just found the best seat on the plane," he added.
If, like me, you don't even pay the extra tenner for a seat on a Ryanair flight then this hack may not be for you but it's a helpful one to have if you're a frequent flyer.
