Tasting biscuits for a living? Sounds like a pretty good deal to us.
Whether you’re a plain digestive, chocolate chip cookie, figroll, custard cream, ginger nut, or Kimberley fan (the list is pretty much endless), this particular job description is likely to elicit a few laughs.
A biscuit company based in Birmingham city centre placed a Gumtree advert yesterday seeking a new chief biscuit taster. The successful candidate will be “a responsible manager with more butter in their biscuit who will put more butter in our biscuits”.
According to Buzzfeed, the ad was placed by Foxes Biscuits, part of the Sisters Food Group, which is based in Birmingham.
Foxes haven’t yet confirmed if this is a genuine job advertisement but either way, it’s a stroke of genius. Check out the advert here.
