Tried & Tested: Dietary Supplement Revive Active

The supplement is designed to boost cardiovascular health, increase energy levels and support the immune system

In the fast-paced always-on office environment so many of us are working in these days, chronic fatigue and stress are affecting more and more people every day. A proper diet, regular exercise and a good night’s sleep are the only ways to truly look after your body and mind, but certain supplements can give you a very welcome hand along the way.

Irish company, Galway Natural Health Company, has produced a newly formulated health food supplement designed to boost cardiovascular health, increase energy levels and support the immune system, combating the degenerative side effects of the ageing process.

Revive Active is a water-based soluble supplement that comes in a sachet and is easy to prepare; simply stir into a glass of water and drink every morning before you consume any food. The orange and mango flavour is a pleasant start to the day, no need to hold your nose while you chug! Revive Active comprises over 26 ingredients that, when combined, have a more potent effect than if taken individually. According to makers, to purchase all the individual ingredients in the same quantities, with the same quality would cost five times the RRP of one month’s supply: circa €350 vs €69.95.

Key ingredients of Revive Active include:

  • Coenzyme Q10 (Co Q10)
  • L-Arginine
  • L-Citrulline
  • L-Carnitine
  • Vitamin K2

Other ingredients include Vitamin D3, B6, B12, Folic acid (B9), Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium, D-Ribose, Taurine and Pomegranate.

We met with Dr. Dillis Clare, a Galway-based leading authority on integrated medicine, who speaks highly of the product. Clare said; “I have been recommending Revive Active to some of my patients over the last year who have reported it to be particularly beneficial for fatigue, low energy, borderline hypothyroid problems and patients with early evidence of raised blood pressure.

Tracy Piggott, television presenter with RTE and BBC, is also a fan, saying; “I’ve noticed that my concentration levels have improved immensely. But above all else I just feel so much more energy.”

They say:

Revive Active is a premium food supplement developed by a team of doctors and scientists. It is formulated with specifically selected active ingredients to help the process of slowing down ageing.  At a time when more people are experiencing chronic fatigue and difficulty in everyday challenges including stress, Revive Active is a smart and natural choice.

Her thoughts:

When it comes to popping a pill or downing a drink that promises all number of health benefits, it may start to feel like you’ve tried it all, and nothing is really as magical as it promises to be. We entered into a one month trial of Revive Active with a healthy measure of optimism, tempered with the knowledge that we’ve been burned before by ‘wonder products’ that never really did what they said on the tin…

Three weeks in to my trial, I am pleasantly surprised. I don’t eat breakfast (black mark, I know), so I found it really difficult to even take the solution the first few days, pleasant and all as it actually was. Once it was routine though, I haven’t taken any notice. After a week, I started to feel more energy and focus, and I was less likely to have to peel myself out of the bed in the morning.

Many products like this are targeted at men and women of 40+, but younger generations are working extremely hard also, in an incredibly competitive jobs market that often means you start earlier, work later, and breaks are a thing of the past. It’s so important to eat well, sleep and exercise, but there’s no harm at all in getting a helping hand. For the latter two weeks of my trial I’ve also been taking fish oils, and the combination of the two seems to have done my concentration levels, energy levels and even my complexion no end of good.

There is no such thing as a miracle cure, but if what you need is that boost to make you feel a bit brighter and get to the end of each working day without feeling utterly spent, this just might be the trick for you. It’s definitely worth a try.

Revive Active is available from select pharmacies and health shops nationwide or online at  www.reviveactive.com
