Let’s hope this new mother is getting plenty of rest… she’s earned it.
Michelle Cessna delivered baby Addyson Gale on Thursday morning at Armstrong County Memorial hospital in Pennsylvania, and in a hospital record her not-so-little bundle of joy weighed in at just under a whopping 14 pounds.
That’s almost twice the size of the average newborn, and speaking to local news station KDKA-TV, a hospital consultant compared the birth to delivering an average sized toddler.
Mother Michelle said she knew it was going to be a big baby… but not quite that big!

The birth, which was by cesarean section, comes just months after one UK woman gave birth to her 15lb 7oz son, by natural means.
