A Czech woman who beat the odds to become pregnant with quintuplets without using IVF will give birth this weekend.
Alexandra Kinova, who is due to give birth to the country’s first ever set of quints, is booked in for a Caesarean section this Sunday according to reports.

Alexandra has conceived quintuplets naturally.
The 23-year-old, who also has a five-year-old son, told website denik.cz that she was surprised when she found out she was having five babies: “When we finally found a fifth head, I started to cry... But I was so very happy with the news.”
At the beginning of her pregnancy doctors told Alexandra that she was having twins but then in March she was told she was having quadruplets only to find out a month later that there was another baby on the way.
Apparently she and her partner both have a family history of twins but even still, the chances of conceiving quintuplets naturally is one in several million.
She is due to give birth this Sunday.
Speaking about her soon-to-be new arrivals, Alexandra said: “I very much look forward to seeing how they will look. It’s a great charm, but we cannot see anything properly – only a head or legs.”
It is for this reason that the couple only know the sex of three of the babies. They are said to be having two boys and a girl who they have already named Daniel, Michael and Tereza.
The Prague hospital in which Alexandra will give birth has organised for extra staff to be in on Sunday. Dr Alena Mechurová said that while they hope all will go well, they cannot rule out complications.
