Geographical names, that is. The trend has long since been a thing with celebrities, who, let's face it, tend to go for something on the eccentric side when naming their offspring. In fact, there are a whole host of celebrity kids out there named after geographical locations. From Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson's son Bronx, to Shakira and Gerard Pique, who went with the name Milan for their son. And, of course, who can forget Chicago West, Kim and Kanye's daughter – or her sister, for that matter – North? Some celebrities willingly admit they went ahead and names their kids after the place they were conceived, while others are more secretive, leaving it up to our imagination to figure out why their child is named after a spot on the map. Regardless of the reason, here are 10 really pretty geographical baby names to inspired you: 1. Paris Jackson Paris is, of course, the daughter of Debbie Rowe and the late Michael Jackson. In an interview with the Daily Mail back in February 2008, Rowe revealed that she became pregnant with Paris through artificial insemination, and that "Paris was conceived in Paris, that's how she got her name." 2. Brooklyn Lachey Daughter of Nick and Vanessa, Brooklyn was evidently conceived in Brooklyn... well, kind of. Speaking to People, Nick revealed it was "not in Brooklyn, per se, but we felt the Upper West Side didn't have a good ring to it and we wanted to pay a homage to New York." Fair enough. 3. Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran This one is rather interesting. Although nothing has been confirmed in regards to their daughter's unusual name, the notoriously private Ed Sheeran was photographed on a boat in (you guessed it) Antarctica pretty much exactly nine months prior to little Lyra Antarctica's birth. Egypt Daoud Dean Although Alicia Keys' son was not conceived in the African country, the singer has revealed her specific reason for naming him Egypt. “I took an important trip for myself to Egypt," Keys said in an interview back when her son was born. "There were a lot of things that needed to change. I was not as experienced then, so I felt close to a breakdown. I went to Egypt, and I went alone. I sailed down the Nile and I saw the temples, the tombs and the pyramids. It was powerful. It was very Cleopatra. When we found out I was pregnant, my husband said, ‘Egypt was such an important time for you. That really changed your life. Wouldn’t that be amazing as a name?’ Once he said that, I was like, ‘Yes.'”
