Oscar nominee Paul Mescal is being linked to a major project
Normal People actor Paul Mescal is set to take a major step in his career.
The 27-year-old is already an Oscar-nominee but his next role could be the one that catapults the actor’s career.
Mescal has reportedly been tipped to star in the next James Bond film.
The Maynooth-born actor is allegedly set to play a younger spy in the franchise.
The team behind the 26th movie is also looking to cast an older spy.
They’re keen to mix the franchise up a little and believe this is the right move.
Paul Mescal has previously responded to claims about playing the next Bond.
The actor revealed that he is a major fan of the franchise and would love to be part of it.
Mescal previously told The Sun, “I’m a huge Bond fan. I think it’s an incredible franchise. But it feels very, very far away from current circumstances.
“Would I play Bond? Yeah? I don’t know. If it ever came my way, we’d have a discussion about it,” he added.
Mescal said it would be an honour to be part of something like the James Bond franchise.
“I don’t know. I don’t want to say yes or no. I am a massive fan, and will continue to be, regardless,” he added.
The production company behind the films has not responded to any speculation, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the Aftersun star.
