Pat Kenny chatting about “ghee” on the radio today is HILARIOUS

GAS!

Pat Kenny is cracking up the nation after one of his topics on his show earlier today.

He invited Susan Jane White, an author and columnist, onto the show to talk about ghee. No, not a woman’s nether region but ghee, a type of butter.

It’s very similar to what we would use traditionally at home but the difference between the two is just the heat treatment. Susan has said that it’s the next big thing to be used in our kitchens.

Pat first introduced it by saying, “you might call it butter’s sister but it has the unfortunate name of ghee,” followed by a little chuckle.

Susan took the opportunity of making light of its unfortunate name by saying she would like to commend Pat for inviting her on national radio to talk about ghee and then proceeded to ask him to smell her ghee, to which he responded, “It smells a bit rank to me.”

Pat pointed out that the word comes from the Hindu, ghí, which means to sprinkle but in Ireland it has a very different meaning which we all know too well.

Susan then goes on to talk about how to create your own “authentic hot Irish ghee”.

HOW they didn’t burst out laughing throughout this is beyond me.

Listen back to it here:
