New clip shows Kendall reacting to that Pepsi ad controversy

The ad upset a lot of people earlier this year.

She’s finally addressing it.

The Kardashian-Jenners are no strangers to controversy and have an iffy track record in the area of race.

Though most of the sisters have been involved with people of colour, Kim, Kylie and Khloe have all come under fire in the past for appropriating from black culture and for questionable statements they’ve made.

No other family faux-pas, however, has made as much of a splash as the one earlier this year when Pepsi released an ad featuring Kendall diffusing a large-scale protest by handing a police officer a can of Pepsi.

The ad was accused of trivialising police brutality and movements such as Black Lives Matters, with a lot of anger directed at Kendall for starring in the ad.

Her sister Kim recently told The Hollywood Reporter that Kendall was devastated by the backlash but didn’t want to be seen crying in its aftermath.

“But in the media she looks another way because she’s not addressing it. I’m just like, ‘This is wrong. You need to speak up.’ She was like, ‘I don’t ever want to show that footage of me crying.’ She was trying to not make excuses or be dramatic, but that was what she was going through at the time.”

Kendall has never publicly apologised for her involvement in the ad but a new trailer for Keeping Up With The Kardashians hints that she’ll address it for the first time on the show.

In the clip, Kendall says; “I feel like my life is over,” to which Kim replies, “you made a mistake.”

We’re not sure how in-depth the conversation will be but given the family’s history when it comes to race, it’d be interesting to see how it’s handled on their show.
