Great news for the Irish in London.

No more will you have to sit at home with a strong wifi connection and a hijacked Internet browser to be able to watch The Late Late Toy Show. The Irish Christmas staple is being brought to London thanks to The London Irish Comedy Festival.

On Saturday 28 November, the Late Late ToyShow will be screened from The London Irish Centre. The event will be hosted by Moone Boy star Tara Flynn, RTÉ’s Colum McDonnell and BBC Radio 4’s Gráinne Maguire.

As expected, the audience is asked to wear their most dapper Christmas jumper. And truly in keeping with the festive cheer, attendees are asked, if they can, to bring an unwrapped educational toy, game or book for a child between the ages of 3 – 11 years, for Santa’s sack. All toy donations will be gifted to Variety, the Children’s Charity. Variety at Work deals directly with children, offering outings and special treats to young people and children who are sick, disabled and disadvantaged.

Speaking about the The Late Late Toy Show LIVE! host and comedian Gráinne Maguire said ‘Like any self-respecting Irish person, The Late Late Toy Show is the most important night of my year. I’m glad to finally be able to share it with our English cousins. God love them, some of them don’t even know what a Billie Barry kid is!’
