Gilmore Girls cast members reunite in new series

Kat O'Connor

If you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls then you’re going to love this show

‘Gilmore Girls’ is my go-to show all year round, but especially in autumn.

Tuning into the Stars Hollow magic during the cozier months always makes me feel better. It’s like a warm cup of tea, but if you’re looking to veer away from Lorelai and co. then I’ve found just the show for you.

Two ‘Gilmore Girls’ cast members are actually reuniting in the CW’s latest small-town drama ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’.

The new series is like a cross between ‘Virgin River’ and ‘Gilmore Girls’ so you really can’t go wrong with this one.

The series is actually based on the books by ‘Virgin River’ author, Robyn Carr, so it’s bound to be a crowd-pleaser.

‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ follows a neurosurgeon (Morgan Kohan) who finds herself in legal trouble and decides to return to her hometown in Nova Scotia. She decides to reconnect with her estranged father, Sully (Scott Paterson).

Patterson isn’t the only Stars Hollow resident starring in ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’. Chad Michael Murray, who played Tristan on ‘Gilmore Girls’, has been cast as Cal Jones in this new drama series.

Luke and Tristan reunite in Sullivan’s Crossing

Speaking about the similarities between the two shows, Scott Patterson said ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ reminds him of Stars Hollow.

He told Parade:

“[Stars Hollow] is a beautiful, leafy place. Sullivan’s Crossing is similar, but there’s a little more water involved,” he said.

“I think Sullivan’s Crossing has the potential to become this annual event. Sure, people are gonna watch the other show until the end of time, but I think they’re gonna watch maybe more of Sullivan’s Crossing.”

‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ aired for the first time in America in October but has not yet released a launch date for Europe.

We’re going to keep our eyes peeled for a launch date here.
