Nobody Wants This has quickly become one of the most-watched shows on Netflix
The rom-com genre has been neglected for far too long with Hollywood turning its back on romantic comedies in favour of action and horror.
But it looks like the genre is finally getting the recognition it truly deserves following the release of Nobody Wants This.
The incredible rom-com series dropped on Netflix last week and it has given the genre the TLC it’s been needing.
Many streaming services, Netflix included, have tried to revive the genre by releasing their own original content, but nothing can compete with Nobody Wants This.
It has the wit of When Harry Met Sally, New Girl’s charm, and Set It Up’s chemistry.
The creators found the perfect recipe for a rom-com series and delivered it to the viewer in ten binge-worthy episodes.
Adam Brody and Kristen Bell’s on-screen chemistry is second to none with the Frozen actress admitting even her husband Dax Shepard was rooting for her character and Brody’s to kiss.
You’ll be gripped from the very first episode with many viewers admitting they watched the entire series in one sitting.
And who can blame them? Hollywood rarely releases a rom-com this flawless so watching something of this calibre is a real treat.
But what is it about Nobody Wants This that makes it so special?
Nobody Wants This treats the rom-com genre with the respect it rightfully deserves. People may not like to admit it but some of the best movies of our time are rom-coms.
However, they’re often dismissed because they’re mainly made for ‘women and girls’.
Nobody Wants This is beautifully written, incredibly funny, has complex lead characters, and reminds us that love is worth fighting for, even when the odds are not in your favour.
We watch two older leads fall in love without the script making us cringe or the storylines roll our eyes.

It’s so comforting to see a love story taken seriously on screen.
If you’ve not had the joy of watching Nobody Wants This then you’re missing out.
Fans are already calling for a season two to be released, but nothing has been confirmed by Netflix just yet.
The series follows an agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi as they fall in love.
But can their relationship survive their wildly different lives and meddling families?
Nobody Wants This is now on Netflix.
