The Strictly results did not go down well
Strictly Come Dancing viewers are fuming over this year’s first elimination. The first celebrity was kicked off the show on Sunday night.
On Sunday night, viewers were stunned to see Olympian Tom Dean face singer Toyah Willcox in the dance-off.
Tom had received mixed comments from the judges but was not at the bottom of the leaderboard like Toyah.
However, following the first dance off of the season, the judges chose to save Toyah and her professional partner Neil, leaving viewers in shock.
Many expressed their outrage online following the shocking decision.
One said: “oh tom dean! our fallen king, the biggest robbery in Strictly first-boot history! they knew he was going to win if they let him stay any longer. bring him back for second chances NOW.”
Another wrote: “That has to be one of the most shocking results ever. What were the judges watching?! Only Anton got it right. Poor Tom.”
What a pure & humble guy @tomdean00 is! ❤️👏🏼👏🏼. Keep your head up Tom. You should be so proud of everything you've achieved not just with #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing but also with the Olympics in Paris as well.

A third added: “the worst thing about tonight’s elimination is that toya’s definitely out next week while tom showed a lot of potential, i seriously do not understand this decision.”
Tom penned an emotional but humble post on Instagram following the elimination.
“The journey may have ended a little earlier than I hoped and of course I am so gutted, but I’m so grateful for all the amazing people I met, people I’ll be cheering on throughout and who I know will continue to smash it,” he wrote on Instagram.
He also praised his professional dance partner Nadiya Bychkova for supporting him throughout the last few weeks.
“And to my brilliant partner Nadiya, thank you so much for everything. You’ve been an amazing teacher and to have danced alongside you has been an absolute privilege,” he gushed.
Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday, October 5th.
