Call the Midwife viewers praised the show’s finale
The final episode of season 14 of Call the Midwife aired on BBC One last night, and viewers are all saying the same thing about the finale.
The heartwarming series has been on air since January, but fans had to say goodbye to the series last night.
We only get eight new episodes of Call the Midwife each year, so viewers were gutted to see the season come to an end already.
The finale was an emotional watch with Irish nurse Nancy Corrigan returning for her wedding day.
However, in true Call the Midwife fashion, things didn’t work out as planned for Nancy, who revealed she was actually pregnant with her second child during the episode.
The bride-to-be confided in her Poplar friends and revealed she was around seven months pregnant.
However, Nancy quickly realised she was actually later in her pregnancy than she thought and ended up giving birth to her baby in the finale episode.
Following the birth of her baby girl, Nancy finally had a happy ending and married Roger.
Viewers praised the creators for ending the season on a happy note after such an emotional series.
The show has been full of some pretty intense emotional scenes, which left viewers feeling overly emotional.
One said: “An absolute triumph of a series finale. Well done to all involved.”
Another wrote: “An absolutely outstanding finale. You will be missed until Christmas.”
“Wonderful as always, I simply love this programme, beautiful ending to a great series. I could watch this forever,” another wrote.
Call the Midwife won’t return to our screens until the Christmas Special on December 25th.
However, the show will return for its fifteenth season in January 2026.
