Lady Gaga fans are mortified after learning what the lyrics to Poker Face are really about.
Hint: it's nothing to do with cards...
The 2008 hit swept the globe, gaining the singer another chart-topper following the success of Just Dance.
Nearly two decades on, people are just realising what the lyrics are actually trying to say.
The song opens with: "I wanna hold 'em like they do in Texas, please (Woo) / Fold 'em, let 'em hit me, raise it, baby, stay with me (I love it)."
While these lyrics are PG, it seems that the chorus is where things get more explicit...
In an Instagram video posted by influencer Lauren Wolfe, she revealed that the songs unedited version of 'Po-po-po-poker face, po-po-po-poker face (Mum-mum-mum-mah),' is actually 'Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah), Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f* her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah)'.
You learn something new...
The video, which was captioned 'I was today years old', has accumulated comments of shock and horror.
"Guys i just googled the lyrics……she's right, so they fr didnt put the clean version on the radio," commented one user.
"I heard this very clearly when I was a teenager and the song came on the radio and was like “wow, they don’t bleep that? Ok huh," added another.
Another person said: "No way are all of y’all realizing this now."
The classic 2000's hit featured on Lady Gaga's debut album The Fame and even took home a Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2010.
A forever hit in our eyes!
