"Carrying a child and bringing new life into the world marks the start of an incredible journey."

It’s no wonder Mila Kunis and partner Ashton Kutcher are two of the most likeable celebrities in Hollywood.

Shortly after welcoming her first child, daughter Wyatt Isabelle, Kunis has marked her new role as mother by designing an emerald “motherhood ring”.

The actress is a global ambassador for Gemfields, the world’s leading supplier of ethically sourced stones. Now, she has created her own ring, a stunning 18-karat yellow-gold emerald ring, in order to benefit other mothers.

Profits from the sale of the jewellery will go to fund a maternity centre near the Gemfields mine in Zambia.

Speaking about the project Mila said: “Carrying a child and bringing new life into the world marks the start of an incredible journey.”

“Throughout history, every culture has its own way of recognising this extraordinary event, often with a gift for mother or child. Precious green emeralds are traditionally symbols of motherhood, wisdom, and long-lasting love. But they are also a symbol for hope in many cultures, and so the proceeds from this collection of Motherhood Rings will benefit the opening of Gemfields Nkana Health Centre, where four new wards have been built – a major undertaking that will have long-lasting benefits to the local community.”

The Mila ring is priced from $4800 (€3,788). If you have that kind of cash to spare, you can reserve your ring now, here.
