Reminder to new mums: Your body is still adjusting
Kourtney Kardashian has penned an open letter to new mothers about the ‘unrealistic pressure’ to ‘bounce back’ after giving birth.
The reality TV star welcomed her fourth child in November, a son named Rocky.
The newborn is her first child with her husband, Travis Barker.
Kourtney shares her oldest children, Mason, 13, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 9, with her ex-partner, Scott Disick.
The eldest Kardashian sister, who is now five months postpartum, took to social media to share a little reminder for new mums.
“Dear new mommies. Your body is beautiful at all stages. During pregnancy, as we are glowing and growing, postpartum as we are healing and shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting,” she wrote.
“And if you’re breastfeeding that’s a whole other part of it. I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal.”
“The pressure put on us to bounce back when everything is new and different isn’t realistic.”

This comes after Kourtney shared a reminder about postpartum recovery back in December, just a month after baby Rocky was born.
In her Instagram story, she urged new mums to listen to their bodies and not rush the healing process.
“7 weeks postpartum. First day in the gym,” the TV star wrote.
“Taking it easy, no rush. No pressure mamas, your body is healing, it’s not a race.”
