The rumour mill has been claiming that Johnny Depp and actress Amber Heard are engaged for a few months now but we had decided to save our poor hearts from the pain and choose not to believe it.
Unfortunately, the man himself seemed to confirm the news this week by sporting a diamond ring on his wedding finger and giving reporters in Beijing a very vague response to their questions on his marital status.
“The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle,” he said.
“I think that I would be better at making women’s shoes than I would be at wedding planning, I can’t plan anything. I’m really bad at that stuff.”
Depp and Heard met in 2012 on the set of The Rum Diary, with the heartthrob subsequently leaving partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis.
