Charlie Bird has shared a health update, admitting he did not believe he would see this Christmas.

The former RTÉ journalist says that his health has ‘dramatically changed’.

Charlie was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease back in October 2021 and has shared his journey with the condition with the Irish public since.

The former journalist also launched ‘Climb With Charlie‘ to raise vital funds for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta.

He attributes the fact he is still around to the support he has received from the people of Ireland.
