Ben Foden and Una Healy divorced after six years of marriage
Rugby player Ben Foden has opened up about his marriage to Una Healy in a new interview.
The couple, who were married for six years, divorced in 2018 after the sportsman was accused of cheating on the Irish singer.
Ben has since remarried and welcomed two children with Jackie Belanoff-Smith.
In an interview with Instant Casino, the dad-of-four said he wasn’t portrayed well following the downfall of his marriage to Una.
He said one of the main reasons he moved to America was because of the negative spotlight and attention from the press.
He admitted, “My marriage to Una didn’t end well and the media narrative around the whole split wasn’t in my favour.
“There is so much more to relationships behind closed doors. What the press gets hold of is never the entire truth. That is private for me and her. It is daunting,” he added.
He said the coverage of his and Una’s break-up was “very negative and nasty”.
The dad said he’s happier than ever now with his life in America but he is hoping to move back to England one day.
“I am in a happy place now. My wife and I are talking about coming back to England,” he revealed.
“She wants to put the kids through schooling in England. We are having a conversation! I have a very business-minded wife who is very successful in her own right,” the dad added.
