Barry Keoghan opens up about special bond he shares with Saltburn’s Jacob Elordi

Barry Keoghan said their friendship isn't for show

So much so that Keoghan has opened up about their important friendship, stressing that it isn't for show.

Many Hollywood stars fake relationships and friendships for the sake of promoting a project, but Keoghan said his friendship with Elordi is real.

He recently opened up about growing close to his Saltburn co-star in an interview with GQ.

He told the publication, "I’m really flirtin'. We were constantly close. It ain’t just for the cameras and the premiere[s].

Keoghan even described Elordi as his brother, saying they grew close very quickly when working on the film together.

"I think when you’re comfortable with someone, you can be as close as you want, you know what I mean? It’s not like, ‘Oh, don’t come near me’—it’s like, I’m comfortable. When I’m comfortable around people, I’m comfy," he explained.

Speaking about his rising star, Keoghan admitted that becoming so famous can be harmful.

However, the Dublin native is trying his best to remain humble.

He told GQ that he makes his hotel bed every morning just to keep him from 'floating away' with his skyrocketing fame.

"You can get caught up in it, and it’s kind of dangerous in that sense. It’s just to start your day good, to kind of bring you back to gravity. At least I’ve made it. It’s small, simple stuff like that, keeps you from floating away."
