In true Internet fashion, people immediately thought the pop stars were giving out about Kylie Jenner.
Everyone swiftly became professional lip-readers and claimed that Kylie refused to let Selena Gomez take a photo with Timothée Chalamet.
However, the Wonka star brushed off the claims and said the rumours weren’t true.
Selena has now spoken out and revealed what she was talking to Taylor Swift about.
The Rare Beauty creator shut down the rumours by commenting on E! News’ Instagram.
The publication ran a story about Gomez gossiping about Kylie Jenner, but she quickly addressed the claims.
Gomez confirmed she told Swift about two of her friends who were hooking up.
She wrote under the post, “I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up.

After addressing the situation, Gomez confirmed she will be taking a break from social media.

She posted a photo of her boyfriend, Benny Blanco before logging off.
She wrote alongside the snap, “I’m off social for a while. I’m focusing on what really matters.”
