Maybe not as old school as Sk8r Boi or Complicated, but think back to her Girlfriend days, where her music is more pop and preppy.
Along with Groovy Chick paraphernalia, Lizzy McGuire and Sunny D, nothing harks us back to the good ol’ pre-teen days than the sound of an Avril Lavigne banger.
Avril has been teasing new music for a while now, and today she released her first song in six years.
She collaborated with Nicki Minaj on this one and it’s called Dumb Blonde.
While we didn’t really know what to expect from Avril at this stage, we have to say that Dumb Blonde is extremely catchy.

The singer’s six-year hiatus was due to illness. She contracted Lyme disease, which has a range of symptoms and can leave the sufferer feeling exhausted.
We’re delighted she seems back to good health and is back on the music scene. Hopefully, we’ll have a few new guilty pleasures to be listening to this year.
