Amy Dowden gives hopeful update as cancer treatment comes to an end

Amy Dowden has been undergoing cancer treatment for months

The professional dancer confirmed to her followers that she is entering her final week of treatment.

Alongside a selfie of her smiling from ear to ear, Amy confirmed she will have her last treatment on Thursday.

"The biggest smile I've had on a Monday since the beginning of August!" she shared.

Amy said this moment felt so far away when she started treatment in August, but said she is so happy it is finally here.

"Why because I'm entering the LAST WEEK OF CHEMO!"

"This week has felt such a distance for so long," she shared.

Amy confirmed she has a hospital appointment later today, and will get her bloods done tomorrow.

"Hopefully (if all is good with my bloods) it's all go for the LAST CHEMO THURSDAY," she said.

The professional dancer was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year but is feeling hopeful.

Speaking during her appearance on Stand Up To Cancer, Amy said this year has been one of the worst of her life.

"It has been the toughest year of my life but I’m just really hoping with the surgery that I’ve already had and the chemo that I’ve done enough," the dancer said.

Amy was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in May 2023. She was then diagnosed with "another type of cancer" in July.

Fans of the dancer have been praising her for staying so positive and for raising so much awareness as she underwent treatment.

Amy has been documenting her life since her cancer diagnosis on her Instagram account, including the day she shaved her head and photos from her hospital appointments.
