Did Adele just confirm she's married?

The singer managed to reveal the news in the most Adele way possible, by heckling a friend during his comedy show.

No, you didn't read that wrong, the singer seemed to forget that she was famous for a moment and let her marital status slip.

Adele was in the audience of her friend Alan Carr's show in LA and when he asked the crowd if anyone got married recently, the singer shouted out: “I did!”

While further details surrounding the engagement and alleged nuptials have yet to be revealed, the announcement comes just months after she first referred Rich as her “husband” during a concert at her Las Vegas residency.

“You can't marry me, I'm straight, my love,” the Grammy winner said when answering questions from the audience during a September concert. “And my husband's here tonight. He's here," she added for good measure.

Adele had denied the rumours that she was married to Rich after she was spotted wearing a rather sizable diamond ring on that all-important finger last year.

Yet it looks like they got married in secret just recently and now it’s official if you count heckling as a way of breaking the news.

The singer and the sports agent were first linked to one another in July 2021, when they attended Game 5 of the NBA Finals together.

They eventually went on to confirm their relationship with an Instagram-official snap two months later, marking the start of their now two-year relationship.

Adele has long been vocal about her love for her rumoured husband, telling Elle U.K. in 2022, “I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him. I definitely want more kids.”
