Extraordinary is a hit comedy series set in a world where everyone receives a superpower when they turn 18. Our heroine Jen (Máiréad Tyers), however, has yet to receive her power and is desperately trying to find her place in this magical world.

Jen is played fabulously by Cork’s own Máiréad Tyers, and she’s definitely one to watch. In addition to our leading lady, Siobhán McSweeney, of Derry Girls fame plays Mary, Jen’s mother, while Father Ted legend Ardal O’Hanlon voices Jen’s late father Martin.
2. It turns the superhero genre on its head
Jen finds herself a fish out of water in a world saturated with superpowers, and this makes for a refreshing twist on the superhero genre.
