Legendary actor Sir Roger Moore has died at the age of 89.
His children, Deborah, Geoffrey and Christian, confirmed the news and shared a statement from his Twitter account. It read:
“It is with heavy heart that we must announce our loving father, Sir Roger Moore, has passed away today in Switzerland after a short battle with cancer. The love with which he was surrounded in his final days was so great it cannot be quantified in words alone.”
It went on to talk about his love of movies, television shows and his work with UNICEF. They also reflected on his career as an actor and what the stage meant to him. They confirmed that there will be a private funeral in Monaco.

Roger is best known for his role as James Bond in seven different James Bond movies spanning 12 years, making him the longest running James Bond.
