Met Eireann forecast washout weekend before big change for the east on Monday

“OUTLOOK: Unsettled owing to a mobile Atlantic regime”

It is a good thing that we, as Irish people, have learned to be adaptable when it comes to the weather, as it appears we are in for some more rainfall this weekend.

Met Eireann has predicted we are looking at a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the weather over the coming days.

Saturday, September 23rd

The evening will start off wet, with the possibility of further falls of rain later in the night, particularly in the south of the country.

We are looking at low temperatures of between 11 and 14 degrees, so cold but not baltic, thankfully.

Sunday, September 24th

It’s a t-shirt and an umbrella kind of weather for Sunday, as we should expect scattered outbreaks of rain, which are anticipated to become widespread and more persistent. There may be some heavy falls of rain that may result in some localised flooding.

Despite the rainfall, the highest temperatures will be between 17 and 19 degrees.

Monday, September 25th

More temperamental weather conditions will come our way at the beginning of next week, as Met Eireann predicts we will at least have some sunny spells to enjoy – particularly in the east.

However, some passing blustery showers are being forecast, which will be more likely closer to the Atlantic.

There will be gusty winds with highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees.

Tuesday, September 26th

Met Eireann has forecasted that it will be a wet day with heavy spells of rain starting on Tuesday. However, later in the day, it’s expected to clear to sunny spells with some well-spread showers.

The highest temperatures will reach between 14 and 18 degrees.

As the saying goes, There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes, so dress accordingly.
