It's one of the major downfalls of the autumn and we're not quite ready for those dreary and dark evenings.
There are just weeks to go until the major changing of the seasons so cling onto those bright evenings as we'll be bidding farewell to them pretty soon.
We all know just how dull it is when you leave the office at 5 pm and it is already dark outside but at least we get an extra hour in bed when the clocks go back.
According to timeanddate.com, the clocks will go back one hour on Sunday, October 27th.
This will mark the end of daylight saving time for 2024.
The clocks will turn back at 2 am on October 27th.
We'll happily welcome the extra hour of sleep, but the thought of the sun setting at 5 pm is not so pleasant.
The sun will reportedly set at 5.01 pm on Sunday, October 27th, and then at 4.59 pm on October 28th.
The evenings will feel even shorter in November with timeanddate.com confirming the sun will set on November 27th at 4.13 pm.
The reason the clocks go back an hour is to make the winter mornings brighter.
They will go forward again in the springtime and we can look forward to lighter evenings again.
Most smartphones and digital devices will change the time automatically but the clocks in your home will need to be changed manually.
