US rapper Chinx, real name Lionel Pickens, has died at the age of 31 after reportedly being involved in a shooting on Sunday.
According to reports, the 31-year-old was shot in Queens.
A number of celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to the rapper, with Khloe Kardashian writing: “We’ve only known each other a short time but it was the best time.”
Other big names in the industry to include P Diddy and Wiz Khalifa also paid their respects to the up-and-coming-rapper online.
Chinx was said to be working on his debut album Welcome to JFK and a statement from his management team read: “Chinx’s dedication, humour and vision will always be remembered.”
