Bodies of a man and woman have been discovered at a farmhouse in rural Limerick this morning.
It is as yet unknown how or when the couple died, but it appears the bodies may have been at the property for a number of weeks.
According to The Irish Times, the woman found dead is thought to have been at the centre of a PSNI fraud investigation.
The grim discovery was made at around 3am on Monday morning.

The scene has been sealed to facilitate a forensic examination, with post mortem examinations on the remains expected to be carried out later today.
The Limerick Leader reports that the male was aged in his mid 50’s, and the female was her early 60’s.
