Roseanna Ruane gives update after undergoing ‘small but urgent’ procedure

Roseanna Ruane praised the staff at University Hospital Galway

The mum posted a photo from the hospital on Instagram and told her followers she was feeling grateful.

She said that being in the hospital is understandably very triggering for her after losing her daughter Saoirse to cancer.

However, the mum said the staff reassured her and made sure she was comfortable during her hospital stay.

Roseanna said, "Grateful to have been called for a small but urgent procedure yesterday, which I hope will give me some relief now going forward."

The mum did not explain what the procedure was, but said she may talk about it online one day.

"But for now, I'm just glad to have it behind me, and I'm so thankful to those who helped me out over the last 24 hours.

"A big thank you to the staff at UHG for minding me so well," Roseanna added.

"I find hospital settings so triggering and they were all so lovely to me, from the nurses, manager, consultant, anaesthetist & especially the nurse who held my hand until I went to sleep," the mum added.

Earlier this summer, Roseanna teamed up with BPerfect Cosmestics to create a collection.

All funds from the Saoírse and Mamma make-up collection will be donated to the Hand in Hand charity.

Funds will also be donated to the Cancer Fund for Children.
