Roseanna Ruane returns with another heartfelt evening of comfort and connection for those navigating grief.
An Evening with Roseanna and Friends will take place on Friday, May 31st at 7 pm in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, offering a safe, supportive space to honour loss, share stories, and find strength through community.
The first event, held in the Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe, saw nearly 350 people gather just days after Storm Isha to hear Roseanna’s powerful story.
With moving performances from the Fahy Family and Chris Kelly of Trad on the Prom, and inspirational conversations with guest speakers including Dr. Suzanne McClean, Laura Burke, and Gerry Hussey, the evening offered a unique and emotional experience that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.
As Roseanna shared memories of her beloved daughter Saoírse Ruane—whose courage and positivity captured the hearts of the nation—the event became a space not only for sorrow, but for hope, healing and reflection.
Now, Roseanna is continuing that journey with a second gathering.
This upcoming event in May will build on the energy and emotion of the first, bringing together new speakers, special performances, and personal moments that aim to support and uplift all those facing loss.
"After the response to our first evening, I knew there was such a need for this kind of space.
"Grief is so isolating, but that night reminded us how powerful it is to come together, to speak honestly, and to feel seen.
"This next evening is another opportunity to support each other, whether you've lost a child, a parent, a partner, or someone close.
"We may all have different stories, but we share the same ache, and the same hope to move forward while carrying our loved ones with us."
With a new venue and renewed sense of purpose, An Evening with Roseanna and Friends is set to offer another truly memorable and meaningful experience.
