Their daughter suffered life-changing injuries in the November 2023 attack, but is making progress.

The child spent 281 days in CHI Temple Street but was discharged from the hospital last September.

She has been in rehabilitation since being discharged, and her family recently confirmed that she is doing well.

Her family confirmed that their little girl "has come quite far."

In a new update on their GoFundMe page, the girl's parents said she has been home full-time since the end of November.

"We have been sailing through the summer holidays, but very little resting has happened.

"Our darling girl has had back-to-back physio, occupational, and speech and language therapies," they shared.

"After being at home full-time since the end of November, we are day patients in rehabilitation. She has come quite far, and prospects are positive. She is taking this bootcamp like a champ!" her parents confirmed.

They also revealed that she will be going back to school in September.

They concluded, "Then it is back to school in September. Wishing everyone a fantastic week."

The young girl's family revealed that she suffered an acquired brain injury in a previous update.

"She has made great progress, and we don’t wish her to stop. Only time will truly tell. Some people with acquired brain injuries have still shown change and improvement up to 10 years later. We’ve got time.

"It is a lot to take in for all of those involved: the children, the parents, the school staff. I would like to thank everyone for their love and support over these 12," they wrote at the time.
